Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ann Momah Joins the Society for Art Collection’s Governing Council

Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ann Momah Joins Sartcol

We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new member to both our society and governing council. With her vast expertise in both law and insurance, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ann Momah adds a plethora of knowledge to our Governing Council and the society. She presently serves as an independent non-executive director of Stanbic IBTC Insurance Limited and has held strategic leadership positions in several companies. In addition to her career accomplishments, Mrs. Momah has a strong interest in art collecting. Her sincere passion for artistic expression and her desire to uphold and promote cultural heritage are what motivate her to be involved in the art industry. She is a great fit for the Society for Art Collection because of her profound appreciation of art and dedication to fostering the arts community.

As a member of our governing council, her passion for art and her legal knowledge will be crucial to the growth of our Society and our initiatives. We are confident that her wealth of experience and contributions to our programmes will enable us to fulfill our mission of preserving and advancing the art of collecting and transforming the society into a vibrant community for art enthusiasts and collectors.

A GLIMPSE INTO HER CAREER AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Professional Affiliations:

      • Graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons) in 1986.

      • Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987.

      • Became an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom in 1990.

      • Attended the Lagos Business School Senior Management Programme.

    Career Highlights:

        1. Nigerian Reinsurance Corporation Legal Department (1987):
              • Started her legal career as a Legal Officer.

          1. International Standard Insurers Limited (1992-1996):
                • Served as the Company Secretary/Legal Advisor.

                • Provided legal advice, drafted insurance contracts, handled compliance, and managed secretarial services for the Board of Directors.

            1. Cornerstone Insurance Plc (1998-2001):
                  • Held the position of Company Secretary/Legal Adviser.

                  • Oversaw the Legal Department and provided legal services to the company.

                  • Supervised first-point legal advice, conducted research, and drafted opinions on corporate matters.

                  • Managed company secretarial services for the Board of Directors.

              1. George Ikoli & Okagbue (GI&O) Legal Practitioners (2008-2015):
                    • Consulted on Insurance Law and Practice and government liaison.

                    • Ensured compliance with industry regulations and legislation.

                    • Advised clients in the insurance industry and contributed to new business development.

              Her extensive experience and expertise make her an asset to our board and society. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ann Momah as a new member of the Society for Art Collection governing council. We are excited about her leadership and the beneficial influence she will surely have on the Society for Art Collection.
